New Items:
For all new items there is a standard 3-Year Warranty on the item, parts and labour starting from once the item has been declared as sold. This warranty covers damages or faults only through natural occurrences, for example if your product has gone faulty within 3-Years of purchase date and there are no signs of tampering, modification or customisation, damage such as scratches, dents, cracks, water damage…etc, then you are covered by our Warranty. If the item that you have purchased has heavy signs of misuse or damage your warranty could become void. In the rare instance that your item or PC becomes faulty, we will aim to repair or replace your item or part(s) within 30-Working days of receiving your item as long as it is within the Warranty period. Software issues are not covered by the warranty. Warranty only applies to the original customers with invoices kept.
Refurbished Items:
For refurbished products such as PCs that use new and used parts will all include a 1 Year full system warranty starting from when the item is declared as sold. This includes parts and labour as well as shipping costs.
If there are any hardware faults with a PC purchased, contact us within the warranty period for either a parts replacement or full PC replacements depending what we can offer. For refurbished components replacements in PCs we can't guarantee that the items will be of exact replacement, only like-for-like replacements. For example, if your RAM is faulty we will aim to replace the item with matching speeds and size, but the manufacturer of the RAM may vary. For example you may receive a Crucial RAM kit instead of a Corsair RAM kit. If there is any physical damage on the product or PC or heavy signs of misuse, or any external faults that have caused the PC or item to become faulty, your warranty may become void.

Changing BIOS settings / Overclocking / Configuration changes
At Obsidian PC, we encourage you to participate in figuring out how a computer works and functions. However, you do need to be aware of the potential damage you can cause by doing so. Damage caused by any of these changes will result in a void of your right to a warranty repair or return.
BIOS
Your PC will already come configured correctly in the BIOS to ensure best performance and general security. Things such as XMP/DOCP Profiles will be enabled from the factory, along with Resizable bar, security boot and other similar settings if applicable to your PC. We do not class as changing these settings as a void in warranty, however we do advise to stay away from changing them for unnecessary reasons.
Any changes outside of the ones listed above, can cause harm to your computer and result in component failure. Please only make changes if you know what you are doing, have viewed multiple, educated guides and done research to support them. Any changes you make will be at your own risk and you could potentially void your warranty. The BIOS hosts a lot of sensitive settings such as regulating power to your components which can easily result in short circuits and power spikes that will cause failure of components.
Overclocking
We do not recommend you overclock your PC in any way. This will void your warranty as you will be altering the power limits, consumption and voltage regulation outside of the manufacturers specifications.
The only exception to allowing overclocking is XMP/DOCP default profiles, you shouldn’t need to change them in any case as these will automatically be configured from factory. Any changes to the XMP/DOCP profiles outside of the defaults, will void your warranty.
Configuration changes / self troubleshooting
At Obsidian PC we encourage you to upgrade your own PCs in any way you desire, doing so will not void your warranty if you proceed in a professional, educated and careful manner.
We are happy to still give you full warranty coverage on your PC. However if you have made any changes to your PC, we ask that you first reverse the changes before we accept it back. We can only warranty the system in its original state.
If we receive a system back under warranty and it is not using its original components, we will refuse the repair and charge the shipping rates to get the item back to you, as well as the cost of shipping the item to us originally as we usually cover this for standard warranty repairs. You may also be charged our standard hourly rate of £40.00 if we spend time troubleshooting the system.
Certain upgrades / changes we do still allow to be repaired without the need for you to reverse the changes. However this will need to be pre authorised either by email or our chat system with the full details of your changes. You do need to be aware though, although we may authorise the repair, if the fault is caused by your configuration changes in any way, we will have to charge a standard hourly rate of £40.00 for troubleshooting + any shipping charges involved. The standard hourly rate and shipping will need to be covered as we would be investing time into troubleshooting the issue and thus we would need to be compensated fairly. You will then have the option to proceed with the quoted repair.
